Joan Cox has a passion for helping people, whether it’s counseling or
teaching. She was a counselor for prisoners, and people coming out of mental
institutions. She helped them to re-evaluate their lives and to adjust their
thinking to re-enter society.
Over the years, she’s crammed in an advertising and marketing career even as she wrote, edited, and taught others to express themselves on paper. Her greatest enjoyment has been working with her student writers to ensure that their manuscripts were marketable.
Joan has been a writing coach with thirty years experience. She has authored The Writer’s Manual and co-authored Wealth of the Mind: A Designed Thinking for Success Course within the last three years. She has authored several other books that will be available in the upcoming bookstore.

Although writing is her life’s work, Mary has spent years along the way earning experience
points in such fields as nursing, business, entertainment, and the military. Underlying each
such experience was the abundant wellspring of anecdotes and lessons that contributed to her
broad approach to capturing life in the written word.
